Ah Pa

he is 62 & i am 32. we are 30 years apart. we look quite alike though. without him there is no me. yup!!! he is my dad. i call him ah pa. that is in hakka.

our relationship started back in 1974. i was his first born. the eldest son. since then it has been a bumpy road for us. i was not really close to him. he was busy all the time. he did spent time with me & my siblings though. i did remember he used to brought me & my brother for fishing at the nearby park when we were little. he would make funny jokes & sing beatles songs when we were enjoying the cool breeze outside the house. he never failed to buy toys for us whenever he went on a oversea business trip.

as i grew older. i became rebellious. always had arguments with him. at one stage, i even refused to talk to him. our relationship turned from bad to worst when i quit accounting as a profession. he was really disappointed. i joined a fast food chain as an assistant store manager in state. that didn't work out for me either. feeling a bit lost. ah pa came to my rescue. he recommended an accounting job for me. from then on, we started talking again. i am beginning to share things with him. seeking his advice when i am in doubts. we understand each other more and more...

up until today, we are still in good terms with each other. it has not been easy for me to patch things up with ah pa. but i am glad i did.

Encounter of the Blog Kind

I never knew much about blog until my manager mentioned to me one fine day. he started his own blog. a few of them!!! he gave me his blog address. there i was starting to read his blog & several others like kennysia & xia xue.

Funny, light hearted, entertaining... ... ... i am lost for words for kennysia. no wonder he is so popular. he travels a lot too. i am so envy. then i read about xia xue. wow...the words she used was like so offensive. scolding people with the f word. kind of rude if you ask me. nonetheless, she is popular.

Now i have started my own blog. a blog about myself, my family, my friends & my colleagues. who knows. may be. just may be. my blog will be as famous as kennysia or xia xue in the not so far future. ha ha ha...thinking too much, am i?
